24-06-09 Club Clothing Delivery Update Hi Everyone, Great news - our Club clothing will be available for collection at the next Committee Meeting. You should have all received an invoice for outstanding monies owed if you have placed an order. Please kindly come along with any balances owing on Monday 13th July to the Crown and Greyhound Pub in Dulwich Village from 7.30pm onwards. We shall be in the consevatory. 25-03-09 Club Clothing Update Hi Everyone, Hope you are well and starting to enjoy the better weather…those winter miles will soon start paying dividends for those who managed to get out and brave the elements. The payback for those hard times is just around the corner… In a similar vein, I have some great news regarding our club clothing. After the seemingly endless talk, huff and puff and general feeling of chasing our own tails, we have finally marshalled our requirements, finalised the design and PLACED our order for clothing! It’s almost unbelievable that I have so much spare time now! Joking aside it has been a great learning experience to take the process this far for me. I can look back fondly at contentious committee meetings as we sweated over preferred kit designs, power- plays regarding choices of colours as well as dealing with suppliers who could not produce our club badge after several weeks of negotiations! The journey at times has been circuitous…a little like a criterium – sometimes you feel good, other times you wish you were somewhere else. Thanks to everyone who has made the journey what it has been – for all those who provided input regarding design and helped with choices of clothing. To those who took time to vote at the AGM for the design of their choice. To all those who turned up to try samples to confirm their size requirements. To those who placed orders (please don’t forget to pay up!). To the team for posting information on the web and in the newsletter – Mark and Mike. Thanks to Val for keeping an eye on the ‘numbers’ and helping whenever I flagged! Lastly a ‘thanks’ for all those people who provided kind words along the way – it made a difference. Well from here it’s a waiting game until I receive confirmation regarding the delivery date for the clothing. In the meantime, for those who placed orders we shall contact you to advise your final costs. We shall also advise you how we intend to distribute the clothing once it arrives. 11-03-09 Our New Club Clothing!
Dear Members, Please find the clothing design templates which were selected at the AGM on 12th February 2009 to represent our new club kit. Despite the weather, there was a reasonable attendance at the meeting but we also received several email votes for those unable to make it. The outcome of the 'count' saw the 'white diamond' design (as it has now come to be known as) receiving the sufficient majority to be approved as the selection for the new clothing design. Reasons included for this choice of design included the safety aspect of a more highly visible pattern as well as the contemporary and unique look of the design, which should set us apart from other cycling clubs. Hope you agree! The meeting also encompassed an approval for a 'ball park' figure for the initial clothing expenditure. To this end I would ask club members to contact me with your clothing requirements using the email link below to enable me to shoe horn a size range in our first order which best covers our needs. We intend to place an order by the end of February with a delivery date in May 2009. Therefore please contact me as soon as you can to confirm your requirements. 17-11-08 Dear Club Members, It has been a little while since my last stock inventory update and since then clothing has been disappearing quickly. To this end I attach an updated list of items available. As you will see it is becoming urgent for us to push through with our new supplier and finalise the re- ordering of kit.
