Forthcoming Club Time Trials for your Diary

By the time you read this it will probably be after the promotion
of the Open 25 which is the Fred Peachey Memorial - 7th August.
Don't forget the fastest club rider will receive the Midsummer 25 mile
Trophy, whilst first and second placed male riders and fastest lady will
all receive medals.

The next trophy event will be the Autumn 25 on 4th September.
The designated event this year is the Southern Counties Cycling
Association on the G25/45 course. Your entry should be sent direct
to the promoter who is Colin Derrick, 43 Aviemore Way, Beckenham,
Kent BR3 3RP – or you can enter on line if you prefer. The entry fee
is £8.50 and has a listed start time of 7am. Again the first and second
male club riders receive club medals along with the fastest club lady.

The last Club event of the year is traditionally the OMA 10. It

is later this year on Saturday 17th September with an 8am start. The

course is again Q10/22 (A.20 Harrietsham). Lenham Community

Centre has again been booked for parking and toilet facilities – no doubt

we will, once again, be decamping to the cafe in Lenham Village Square

for breakfast.

Just as a point – no one finished in the VTTA 50 this year so the
Alf Baldwin Cup will not be presented, however if you are keen to ride a
50 then there is still the 50 mile Championship trophy just waiting to
be presented for the fastest rider of the year over that distance. For
the really keen you can also claim the 100 mile championship trophy and
12 hour championship trophy, but again you have to complete the
distance !!
