I am pleased to report that our monetary support from Evans via Mike Rice has been received. On behalf of the club I have written a thank you letter to Mike, assuring him that the monies will be used to promote the sport of cycling. On that note it is good to see Mike back in action once again and putting in some good performances with his comeback both on the road and track. He has already entered our Open 10 and is intending to ride the OMA 10 and the Open 25. You just cant keep a good man down. I chatted to Glenn Heath at the Bar-B-Q evening – he seems quite keen to get back on the bike again, dabbling with track riding on a Wednesday morning – who knows where this will lead to. Money has been flying out of our coffers towards the refurbishment of Herne Hill, by way of the £1,000 support for 5 years, agreed at our 2012 AGM. We have now honoured 3 of these payments. Also agreed at this years AGM was a donation of £5,000 to repair damage to the outer track area. These donations have been received and graciously accepted by Herne Hill Velodrome Trust. Clothing orders have been submitted for the Anniversary Kit – when received Christian will be holding that stock as well as the stock of track suit tops. A further minimum order for Giordana bibshorts has also been placed – these will be in the design of the Anniversary kit so that they can be interchanged this stock to be held by Tony. I have now completed the relevant forms to HMRC to reclaim additional gift aid income on donations received from club 20
