there and back as well as 3 laps with my mulled wine and mince pie. Look
forward to seeing you all there.

Thinking of my 'old' friends as I read the mag each month. The October one
with article from Lionel brought back memories of the 50s as he mentions
familiar names of the era. Stories I used to hear from Ken after their Sunday
club runs - all hilarious - about Mrs Curds at Godstone and the Big Teapot
at Biggin Hill. The jokers – mainly Alan Jackson, Knapper – happy days! Good
that 'old' members keep in touch.

I'm back on my bike now after my knee op. Summer is almost here; it reached
35oC this week and not officially summer yet! Looking forward to the Tour
Down Under in January in Adelaide and seeing the Geoghegans here in Glenelg
and John tells me that Derek Munday will be here too. I wonder if Dave Tweddle
will be here again?

Suzanne & Mike are keeping really fit and ride most days and extra kilometres
at the weekend – some good climbing here in the Adelaide Hills which suits
Suzanne – she takes after Ken! Suzanne rides with a team of ladies called
WOW – Women on Wheels. They have their own team gear (orange and black)
and are a fit lot. I only meet them for coffee so I'm now an Honorary WOW!
Suzanne rode the Amy Gillett Foundation charity ride with them – 110km.
Amy Gillett was a professional cyclist that got run down by a car and killed
in Germany about 10 years ago. I sat in a tent and volunteered, giving out
food afterwards – there were approximately 5,000 riders took part and it
finished in the grounds of Serafino Winery at McLaren Vale wine region –
about 45 mins drive from Glenelg, where I live. Mike did a charity 'Ride for
Pain' recently also – raising money for chronic pain research. It covered many
of the really steep hills in Adelaide including 'Little Italy".

Wishing all my good friends in the De Laune a and fit and
healthy New Year.
Lots of love
Dot
